Isabel Compton is an Assistant Consultant who has worked in economic development since 2021, when she joined Hardisty Jones Associates. Prior to this, she completed a degree in BSc Economics at the University of Sheffield and she is now a full member of the Institute for Economic Development.

Isabel Compton is an Assistant Consultant who has worked in economic development since 2021, when she joined Hardisty Jones Associates. Prior to this, she completed a degree in BSc Economics at the University of Sheffield and she is now a full member of the Institute for Economic Development.

Her key areas of experience are in economic research to inform economic strategy and regeneration projects, employment modelling for economic impact assessments and assessing the strategic fit of developments with national and local policy.

Examples of her recent economic development experience include:

  • Modelling the economic impact of a carbon capture plant alongside an energy-from-waste plant, as part of a bid for BEIS funding.
  • Assessing the strategic fit of commercial scale offshore wind farm projects with national and local policy.
  • Contributing to business case development for the Torquay Town Deal and Devon Towns Urban Renewal project.
