Planning application granted for Town Quay Marina in Southampton

It’s fantastic to hear that planning permission has been granted for the regeneration of Town Quay Marina in Southampton. The scheme will deliver a high-quality 9 storey 128-bedroom hotel, 460 apartments, a new Red Jet passenger terminal, 12,000 sq m of reclaimed land and open space including a publicly accessible boardwalk.
Hardisty Jones Associates were part of the team that helped secure the scheme, undertaking an economic impact assessment of its hotel, residential, and commercial elements – highlighting the significant benefits the project will bring to the Southampton economy.
Our assessment considered the economic impact of constructing the hotel, apartments, and marina, as well as the ongoing operation of the hotel and commercial units. We also calculated the additional spending in the local economy from new residents and marina users. The assessment estimated that the exciting landmark scheme will contribute £9 million GVA, £5 million wages and 273 jobs to the Southampton economy each year.
