Officially appointed to explore tidal energy development in the Severn Estuary

As part of their continued efforts to explore the potential of tidal energy development in the Severn Estuary, the Severn Estuary Commission have appointed a consortium of consultants to drive two work packages informing on how to guide responsible tidal energy development and to understand the implications on environmental protection. The second work package focuses on the potential socio-economic impacts of tidal energy development on the regional economy and communities.
We are delighted to be working alongside Oxford Economics and Arcadis to support the Severn Estuary Commissioners in evaluating the potential socio-economic impacts of tidal energy. This adds to our increasing portfolio of work helping to understand the socio-economic effects of low carbon energy infrastructure across the UK. It is really exciting to be working on something so significant and also close to home!
