Berwick Bank Offshore Wind Farm project has received development consent from The Scottish Government. When completed, it will be the largest offshore wind farm in the world generating 4.1 GW of clean renewable energy. The wind farm will be delivered 38 km east of the Scottish Boarders coastline.

The delivery of this major infrastructure project will play a key role in delivering the UK’s Clean Power 2030 mission and Scotland’s net zero ambitions. It will also strengthen the UK’s energy security and deliver renewable energy to thousands of homes. The project has the potential to create up to 9,300 direct, indirect and induced jobs.

Hardisty Jones was appointed in 2020 to support in the delivery of the socio-economic EIA for the Berwick Bank Offshore Wind Farm. It has taken a lot of people to get the project consented by The Scottish Government and we have played a tiny role within an extensive team. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to work alongside various colleagues delivering this.
